Liver Community Grants Program
Gilead Canada’s Liver Disease Community Grants program aims to provide funding for projects and initiatives that ultimately help advance Canada’s efforts of reaching the World Health Organization’s Liver Disease elimination goals by 2030, as well as broader Liver Disease efforts in Canada. Specifically, Gilead is seeking applications for screening and linkage-to-care (SLTC) projects as well as education and advocacy projects through its grants program with the objective of addressing gaps that help patients in priority settings and populations. Liver Disease includes HCV, HBV, HDV, and Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) among others.
Eligibility
Gilead will consider applications that reach diverse communities within Canada. We would welcome proposals that aim to improve outcomes for specific communities impacted by HCV, including but not limited to the following:
- People who use drugs (PWUD)
- People who are incarcerated (PWAI)
- Indigenous People
- Newcomer and migrant populations
Specific areas of interest for Liver Disease projects include:
- Implementation or improvement of models that facilitate linkage to and retention in care (including new testing approaches or settings)
- Interventions or activities that simplify and strengthen the patient journey to improve the care cascade
- Targeted advocacy activities that raise disease awareness or policy action with public health officials at all levels of government
Further information on the eligibility criteria can be found in the Funding Opportunity Announcement.
