Message from the General Manager
At Gilead Canada, we set and achieve bold ambitions in our fight against the country’s most devastating diseases.
Our innovation is helping people with diseases and conditions that include cancer, viral hepatitis, HIV and COVID-19. Our ambitions have helped with the development of a cure for hepatitis C, and to transform the treatment and prevention of HIV. We continue to set our sights on advancing treatment options for more viral diseases and certain cancers, and we understand the importance of uniting all partners – community organizations, government, healthcare practitioners, advocacy groups, industry and academia – who share the same aim.
Canada plays an important role in some of our most key global scientific innovations through clinical trial participation, Canadian research and development investments, and a manufacturing presence.
At the heart of what we do is our culture and our employees. Our culture is founded on a passion and dedication to creating possible, working tirelessly to improve care for Canadians. We encourage our team to bring their whole self to work, and we invest in employee wellbeing through a variety of resources, programs, and activities.
We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that is representative of the diverse communities we serve. We know that diverse perspectives are one of our greatest strengths, and diverse ideas fuel innovation. Our employees are actively engaged in and shape our Inclusion & Diversity efforts through our employee resource groups, which support recruiting, professional development, culture-building, business impact, and community cultivation.
Our teams across Canada know that at Gilead, they can make a real impact on the lives of patients - going beyond the medicine as we work to help remedy health inequities and other barriers to care.
